Buying a new car can be a daunting process, but we've put together a handy guide of our most frequently asked questions - from brand queries to finance options - to make your experience more informed and simple.
About Tangelo
Do Tangelo sell news cars?
No. We only sell used cars that meet the Tangelo Standard, although many of our cars are ‘young’.
Can I test drive the car?
Of course. All of our customers are welcome to book an appointment at our Exeter Customer Hub to test drive their chosen car.
Can I negotiate the price of a car?
We want our customers to have a haggle-free experience where they get a fair deal. We carefully set our prices to ensure they’re our best prices and competitive within the market.
Car Care FAQs
Do I get free warranty and breakdown cover?
Every car comes with free RAC warranty for three months. This can be extended to 12 months, 24 months, or 36 months at an additional cost. If you wish to cancel your extended warranty at any point, you can contact your Sales Consultant. All vehicles purchased through Tangelo also come with 12 months’ complimentary RAC Breakdown Cover, offering 24/7 roadside recovery.
Can I buy car care add-ons after I’ve received my car?
Almost all of our car care add-ons can be purchased after you have received your car, but it depends on what the add-on is. For example, you can purchase insurance and protection and RAC extended warranty, but you will be unable to add paint and fabric protection.
Can I include car care add-ons in my finance package?
Yes, you can include paint and fabric protection and extended warranty in your finance package.
Auto Centre FAQs
Where is the Tangelo Auto Centre?
Our Tangelo Auto Centre is based at Hill Barton Business Park on Sidmouth Road in Exeter. Once you have turned into the Business Park, follow the road until you see the Tangelo Auto Centre. For information on our opening hours and more, head to our ‘Find Us’ page.
Can I wait on-site while my car is being serviced?
Absolutely! Feel free to make use of our Customer Waiting Area. Alternatively, at the entrance to Hill Barton Business Park is Farringdon bus stop, which offers services to Exeter City Centre, Honiton, Seaton, Exmouth and Torquay.
Do you offer loan cars?
Based on availability, we can offer a loan car to ensure you’re not stuck without transport if you have somewhere to be while we’re working on your car.
Finance FAQs
What finance options are available?
We offer two types of finance: Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) or Hire Purchase (HP). Both of our finance options are subject to status.
Can I get finance on any Tangelo car?
No. Finance providers will take into account the age of the car when your proposed borrowing time ends. For a PCP agreement, the car will need to be no older than 10 years at the end of the agreement. For a HP agreement, the car will need to be no older than 12 years at the end of the agreement.
